Day 1

Good afternoon! Today is July 1, 2012, and this is my first (technically, my second) blog entry. Today was a pretty nice day. I didn't wake up well-rested because I was so hype over this blog, but I knew today was going to be a fairly decent day, and that it was!

I left the house without the batteries for my camera, but luckily I was able to run back into the house, grab them, and make it to the school bus stop without missing the bus. I was a bit early anyway, so if I missed it, shame on the driver.

The first photo I took today was of my path going to the bus stop.
I figured, "Why not take this photo... this is how I start my day, EVERY DAY." So... I took it. I figured I'd take it in black and white, since shooting in black and white has become fun for me,  I'll explain why in another post!

While waiting at my bus stop, I was looking at things around me, trying to get the most out of my camera for the day. There are these rats... I mean, squirrels (I can't call them rats, they're a little bit more classy than that), that run around, up and down trees, like normal squirrels do, but during the mornings, they usually cross the wires during the same time that the sun is directly behind them. I was hoping one would cross paths with the sun again, but sadly, only one squirrel came out to play. So I took this photo, and moved on to another subject.
Run little squirrel, run! You're being watched by not only one, but two cameras!

Not too long after, my ride arrived. Tons of busses look similar, and only on super-duper rare moments like yesterday when a random bus that isn't mine comes down the road with flashing lights and passes us. Luckily this wasn't that time, so I snapped this photo and hopped aboard.

At the most important corner we turn, there were some flags up for Memorial Day. They've been up since the day before Memorial Day. I wasn't able to count all of them while passing by in the school bus, but take a look.
I think I counted 15 flags!

Moving on, upon my arrival to school, I remember that there were these two four-leaf-clovers side by side that I decided to let grow instead of ripping them out and letting them die for simple bragging rights about "good luck." I've been finding so many of these lately, I might as well leave these two alone. I guess I'm the luckiest person alive, huh? If four-leaf-clovers bring luck, I guess I can do just fine without them.

Pretty cool right? The first four-leaf-clover is in the left bottom corner, the second on is in the top right corner.

A couple classes later and it's lunch time. I had a hot-dog and fries, a strawberry milk and some good ole orange juice. Gave the o.j. to my friend, and enjoyed the rest of it. I wish I photographed it, as weird as it was, with the somewhat toasty/crunchy bread, it was pretty good. The ketchup, mustard, and sweet relish... YUM!

Not long after my lunch, I had to get my camera, I mean, I've been dying to get this shot for such a long time, and I finally... FINALLY got the chance to.

Amazing right? I really love it. I've taken a couple more, but I got them locked away in my computer for now. I don't think I'm ready to show them all right now. I can't wait to show my father. He is a bit into photography. He has a film Minolta, I believe. I hope I can use it one day!

A few moments later, my friends wanted to start their game, so they kicked me off the court, but welcomed me to the game. I got this shot of my sneaker, my jeans, the bleachers and sky in front of me as well, all in one shot.

I think this is a pretty good shot. Nothing special but I like it.
Dirty shoe, ha ha!

Next, I had gym class. I got a couple of photos before I had to put away my camera, like of this hoop.
This photo was inspired by another I saw on the internet. Didn't come out as well as I expected, but who cares!

My favorite class, film study, has a projector and a smartboard/big screen. I'm so fascinated by the projector, the lens, zoom, and focus. I don't know why, but I am, and I wonder what it'd be like if I could put my camera behind the lens or something, granted I have a p&s (point-n-shoot) camera, and see what it can do. But that's a bit off topic. Check out this photo!

No touch-ups, edits, anything! Can't tell if this or the basketball hoop is better...Hmm.

And that's all for today, all! Thank you for viewing my photos and reading. Bookmark my blog!
